Atom String Quartet will play Karłowicz

Songs by Mieczysław Karłowicz is one of those collections which, despite their small size, are of great importance not only for the history of music, but also for countless artists and listeners. In 2020, the Philharmonic in Szczecin again reached for Karłowicz's songs. On October 30th, the album "Mieczysław Karłowicz – Pieśni" had his premiere and was performed by Małgorzata Walewska and Szczecin philharmonics under the direction of Rune Bergmann.

This day we are happy to present another, this time a jazz interpretation of the song, prepared by the well-known Atom String Quartet with the accompaniment of our instrumentalists – Szczecin Philharmonic Wind Quartet

Atom String Quartet is currently a leading Polish jazz band and one of the most interesting string quartets in the world. The ensemble combines the possibilities of a string quartet with broadly understood improvisation.
His multiple performances at the Philharmonic in Szczecin have been always very popular. It makes everyone happy that the artists agreed to prepare Mieczysław Karłowicz's pieces in new arrangements and then record them together with the musicians of the Szczecin symphony orchestra.
